‘Neon Pill’ is the 6th studio album release from Cage The Elephant and their first release in 5 years. What better way to celebrate their latest release than to go on tour and play their fresh tracks live to fans? Not only renowned for their stylistic, unique hooks, guitar beats and grooves, Cage The Elephant also have a bond of friendship that extends into their music. ‘Neon Pill’ is the result of a turbulent season they faced as musicians and friends, with the 12 tracks capturing some of the emotions and troubles they went through, such as the death of Matthew Shultz’s, the lead singer’s, father.
Two singles are currently released, the lead single, ‘Neon Pill’ and the ‘emotional center piece’ to the album, ‘Out Loud’. They are set to the play other tracks from the album, such as ‘Cigarette Daydreams’, ‘Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked’ and ‘Come A Little Closer’. Their latest album veers into ballad territory, with Shultz’s vocals having a huskier tone and shows how the band band together in all fazes of life, using their music to connect to each other and fans. Shultz stated that, ‘We just found a uniqueness in simply existing’. ‘Neon Pill’ reflects this with a harmony the band are known for and is relatable to fans across different walks in life.
Joining Cage The Elephant on their 45-concert tour for 2024 is the Southern Californian rock group Young The Giant. Their latest, and most ambitious album project was fully released in October 2022. Released in 4 parts, ‘American Bollywood’ has been a hit with fans and received great critical acclaim. They are stoked to be joining Cage The Elephant on tour.
Finishing the line-up is British singer, Bakar. Known for his experimental indie rock style and with the recent release of his second album, ‘Halo’, in 2023, Bakar is an artist you wanna catch live in action. His high energy and fresh edge will be a great way to finish off an amazing night of music.
So, don’t miss out and book your tickets today for Cage The Elephant’s 2024 ‘Neon Pill’ Tour and be at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Friday the 12th of July.
