Chris Stapleton

Yea! Haw! The ol' Great All American Roadshow is back, Baby! Last year he brought one of the single largest crowds together at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and this year will be an even better event! Because you will be there, so grab some tickets, down a glass of Tennessee’s best malt, and ride on down to see country music’s best tale spinner, Chris Stapleton with special guests, six - shootin’ hero, Charley Crockett and the beautiful Nikki Lane all at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Friday 17th November 2023 (Rescheduled from Friday 13th October 2023). Yes, it’s an auspicious night to be out, but there’s no Jason’s on the bill, so everything is just going to be a whiskey drinkin, high kickin' good time! Last year’s set, and final show of the tour, drew from all four of his solo albums, “a satisfying blend of soul, bluegrass, country, and rock, delivered with an economic virtuosity that honestly renders further editorializing kind of moot. Stapleton is the opposite of a flashy performer, and doesn't need to be.”

After Sheryl Lee Ralph's rendition of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" and Babyface's rendition of "America the Beautiful," Chris Stapleton took the stage this year to play the national anthem before the crowd at the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. His performance was met with immense applause. "Man, it felt wonderful. It certainly did," Stapleton stated after the performance. “The energy was good, and the crowd was hyped up for the game, so that kind of gets you ready to go.” Country music performer Parker McCollum stated that his opinion that Chris Stapleton is the best vocalist of all time, will not be altered by any argument.

In the year 2001, Stapleton uprooted his life and moved to the city that is believed to be the birthplace of whiskey, Nashville, Tennessee, intending to enroll at Vanderbilt University and earn a degree in engineering. But, he ultimately decided to pursue a career in music instead. Since then, he has developed into one of the most prolific songwriters and is credited with more than 170 compositions and co-writings. The genres of country, classic rock, and Southern soul all come together in Chris Stapleton's music, which has been described as a hybrid of the three. In addition to rock and roll, blues, and outlaw country, his music also features elements of bluegrass and outlaw country. His songs have been incorporated on albums by numerous performers, some of the most notable of which include Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, and Taylor Swift. Also, he has worked together musically with artists such as Vince Gill, Peter Frampton, Sheryl Crow, and Ed Sheeran, among others.

Stapleton has been honored with eight Grammy Awards, ten Academy of Country Music Awards, fourteen Country Music Association Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and two iHeartRadio Music Awards. In addition, he has been nominated for and won fourteen iHeartRadio Music Awards. As a result of his efforts as a composer, he has been honored with nine prizes from ASCAP Country, including the Vanguard Award. The Academy of Country Music honored Stapleton as the top artist-songwriter of the 2010s. His album, Traveller, was named the Best Country Album of the Decade by Billboard magazine.
