Coming from Oxford, the UK’s Glass Animals blurs the lines of genre by cooking up their own brand of synth pop, indie, R&B, and hip-hop. The quartet skyrocketed into mainstream with their debut ‘Zaba’ and shot to worldwide stardom with the release of their 2016 sophomore record ‘How to Be A Human Being.’ The group birthed the record-smashing, global hit “Heat Waves” in 2020. Ever since they released the critically acclaimed ‘Dreamland’ mixtape, the internationally adored, platinum selling outfit Glass Animals have been unstoppable. This year, they’re not only treating fans to a brand new album (hello ‘I Love You So F***cking Much’) but also a huge 41-date global trek - 'Tour of Earth.' The run will see the four piece headline in leading venues across North America, Europe, and the UK, alongside special guest Eyedress. The electro-pop quartet teased fans with the first single from their space-themed mixtape - “Creatures in Heaven.” This hit is the first glimpse into ten intimate love stories set around the universe. Out on July 19 via Polydor, ‘I Love You So F***cking Much’ is expected to boast Glass Animals’ signature heartjerkers.
Chief vocalist Dave Bayley said the first single is: “about a moment in time, be it a split second or a year or whatever, having the capacity to be enormously formative and life-changing. Even if it is over. Or if it doesn’t go as planned. Or if it dies too soon. It is still fucking beautiful. The love and care and the feeling in that moment lives forever. It never really dies. If that’s how you choose to see it.” Following on from 2020’s critically revered ‘Dreamland,’ ‘I Love You So F***ing Much’ is the Glass Animal’s fourth full-length album. Overflowing with effervescent chunks of pop gold, ‘Dreamland’ follows deeply personal stories which are set against a backdrop of shimmering pop sounds. Picture this: you and your pals are singing and dancing along to crowd pleasers such as “Tangerine,” “Hot Sugar,” and “Tokyo Drifting,” as well as their newest masterpiece.
