American children's music group KIDZ BOP plays family-friendly versions of well-known songs and related media. The organization was organized as a music brand and is open to members between the ages of 9 and 12. Kid-cover versions of songs that are either often played on modern hit radio stations or have achieved a high charting position on the Billboard Hot 100 a few months before each album's release are featured on compilation albums produced by KIDZ BOP. Though others have argued that this does not necessarily mean the song's adult themes are gone, their cover versions nevertheless have lyrics that substitute the original profanities, making music easily enjoyable by young audience.
The owners of Razor & Tie, Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam, came up with the idea, which they originally launched on October 9, 2001. KIDZ BOP has sold over 21 million albums and earned over 4.5 million dollars in revenue to far. The music franchise is expanding quickly over the world and has released albums in five different languages. KIDZ BOP has extended its international reach to several countried, including the UK, France, Mexico, and Germany. Every one of these countries has its unique line up of child stars.
